Mouse & keys

Overview of what you can do in the designer with the mouse and the keyboard.

Mouse

Action	Result
Click a cell	Selects the cell.
Drag over cells	Selects several cells (for example to merge or format them together).
Click a row or column header	Selects the whole row or column.
Drag the line between two headers	Changes the width of that column or the height of that row.
Double-click a cell	Starts editing the text of the cell.
`Ctrl` + drag	Moves the whole table across the page.
Click a text block	Selects the block.
Drag a text block	Moves the block.
Drag the bottom-right corner	Resizes the text block.
Double-click a text block	Starts editing the text of the block.
Click empty space	Clears the selection.

Keyboard in the designer

Key	Result
`←` `→` `↑` `↓`	To the previous/next cell.
`Enter` or `F2`	Edits the selected cell or the selected text block.
`Delete`	Deletes the selected text block, or clears the text of the selected cell.
`Ctrl`+`C`	Copies the selected cell(s).
`Ctrl`+`V`	Pastes into the selected cell.

While editing text

Key	Result
`Enter`	New line in the text.
`Ctrl`+`Enter`	Finish editing and keep the text.
`Esc`	Cancel editing; the old text stays.

Tip: clicking outside the edit box also finishes editing and keeps the text.
